A student’s senior year is full of excitement, challenges, decisions, and questions. For Geibel students, this page should be helpful in addressing some of those senior-year and post-high school planning issues.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available for current and incoming Geibel Catholic undergraduate students, as well as for seniors applying to colleges and universities. Scholarships come from many sources including the federal government, the state government, college or career schools, a private organization or a nonprofit organization. Scholarships, unlike loans, are not required to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria and eligibility requirements, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor organization. Scholarship applications come in many forms and may include written essays, interviews, video presentations, or other modes of communication submitted to organizations for review and selection.

FAFSA Information
PHEAA will be hosting a FAFSA Completion Workshop on Wednesday, February 19 from 5PM – 7PM.
Each Workshop will be held for half an hour and people are being instructed to register in order to attend. There is a listing of items attendees should have with them at the time of the meeting but, most importantly, their StudentAid.gov ID must be created at least 4 days PRIOR to starting the FAFSA. If this is not created, the FAFSA will not be completed. I’ve included instructions below on how to create this ID and highly recommend those interested create it ASAP. Again, if they don’t have it by February 19, they won’t be completing the FAFSA that night.
