A student’s senior year is full of excitement, challenges, decisions, and questions. For Geibel students, this page should be helpful in addressing some of those senior-year and post-high school planning issues.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available for current and incoming Geibel Catholic undergraduate students, as well as for seniors applying to colleges and universities. Scholarships come from many sources including the federal government, the state government, college or career schools, a private organization or a nonprofit organization. Scholarships, unlike loans, are not required to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded based on various criteria and eligibility requirements, which usually reflect the values and purposes of the donor organization. Scholarship applications come in many forms and may include written essays, interviews, video presentations, or other modes of communication submitted to organizations for review and selection.

FAFSA and Financial Aid guides and resources are available for students and families in the guidance office.
The 2024-2025 FAFSA is slated to be released by December 31, 2023. It is suggested that families may wait a week or so after the release date so as to avoid any technical issues due to high traffic volume. Please remember that students and parents must have their FSA ID Accounts created at least 4 days prior to starting the FAFSA as they will need to go through the identity verification process prior to starting and completing the FAFSA.
