Geibel Catholic prides itself on a variety of annual events hosted each year to enhance the sense of community while also raising funds to support the school's programs, such as field trips, busing and extra-curricular activities. The Gator Walk, held every October, is a major fundraiser for our school where students "walk the extra mile" to show support for the school and its programs. Students receive sponsorships from family, friends as well as members of the community, and walk the school grounds to "earn" pledge funds. Donations can also be made in someone's honor.
The administration, faculty, and staff work hard to provide Geibel Catholic students an excellent and challenging education grounded in Gospel values. We strive to ensure that our students have the opportunity to practice what they are learning through service to others throughout their six years at Geibel Catholic. We continue to expand our academic offerings and enhance our technology program. The 2014-15 school year witnessed the introduction of a one-to-one technology initiative for students in grades nine through twelve. In the 2016-2017 school year Geibel Catholic continued to advance the technology resources for students by becoming a 1:1 school for all students. Students in grades 7-9 have Acer tablets while those in grades 10-12 have Dell laptops.
The development of a STEM lab which includes MediaScape tables for collaboration, 3-D printers and Video production equipment for creation, and zSpaces for augmented virtual reality in Science and Technology adds to the state-of-the-art educational experience at Geibel Catholic Junior-Senior High School.
We thank you for your prayers and for financial support of this year's Gator Walk. It is an important fundraiser for our school. Your generosity will help us continue to offer a wide variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities for our Geibel Catholic students.
